Blom's Danish subsidiary and AeroGRID Ltd in UK have signed an agreement allowing AeroGRID to distribute Blom’s national and urban orthophoto coverage of Denmark via WMS server.
“Blom welcomes the extended cooperation with AeroGRID which will contribute with a Scandinavian footprint on the AeroGRID WMS Server. Blom’s orthophoto of Denmark has a unique high quality and we are pleased to introduce it to a broader part of international clients, “stated Blom Denmark’s MD Kristian Skak-Nielsen.
AeroGRID General Manager Miles Taylor added “We are very pleased to welcome Blom, a foremost European geo-information provider to the AeroGRID partnership. The addition of Denmark on our WMS server means we will now provide clients with continuous photogrammetrically accurate orthophoto coverage of over 1.75 million square kilometres through Western Europe.”
AeroGRID was created to provide a one-stop-shop for aerial imagery, building on a base of off-the-shelf aerial imagery. By marshalling partner resources, which include survey aircraft and high-resolution digital cameras AeroGRID is able to extend this coverage and engage in a revision programme that provides extensive and up to date aerial imagery for the market.
