Blom awarded 5 - year sub-contract for US Naval Facilities Group
Blom, the leading European company within geographic information, have been appointed by Northrop Grumman on a 5-year IDIQ sub-contract to carry out aerial survey and ground control for NAVFAC (US Naval Facilities Group) under Northrop Grumman’s Framework Agreement. The first project begins immediately, with scope for further work during the duration of the contract in NAVFAC’s Atlantic area.
Blom will be tasked with delivering aerial photography featuring a 3inch per pixel resolution and 60% overlap. Imagery will be captured during ‘leaf-off’ and will be used for digital mapping to standards in accordance with national Map Accuracy Standards. Capture areas incorporate the NAVFAC region of Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
This is the 3rd such sub-contract issued by Northrop Grumman to Blom and further enhances the strong business relationship built between the two companies.
