BLOM PUBLISH DETAILED AERIAL IMAGERY BEFORE AND AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE IN LORCA, SPAIN
By providing aerial imagery from before and after the earthquake, Blom have enabled public administrations and private companies the opportunity to study damages in detail.
Immediately after the catastrophe damage caused by the earthquake in the Spanish town of Lorca May 11th, Blom mobilized aircraft and a team of experts to fly over the town and capture high definition orthophoto imagery. Blom have also made their historical imagery of Lorca available, enabling authorities to assess the damage and obtain useful information for planning reconstruction.
Using the online service BlomURBEX™, Blom has now developed a website which allows the public to view the imagery datasets and compare where the terrain and urban structures have changed as a result of the earthquake.
